Methodology
Both press releases were about the same length and announced the launch of Rapid URL Indexer.
- MagicPR press release: “Gold” package for $699
- 38 Digital Market press release: “Premium” package for $477
Both press releases were distributed on the same day: July 11, 2024.
Distribution Statistics
The number of news sites in each syndication network varied quite a bit:
- MagicPR: Press release syndicated to 1,357 news sites
- 38 Digital Market: Press release syndicated to 529 news sites
These figures are based on the reports provided by the two press release distribution agencies.
Indexing Results
Let’s look at the results after running both distributions through Rapid URL Indexer:
MagicPR
After 14 days, 899 out of 1,357 news articles were indexed, giving the MagicPR press release a 66% indexing rate.
38 Digital Market
After 14 days, 357 out of 529 news articles were indexed, giving the 38 Digital Market press release a 67% indexing rate.
Summary
While the indexing rates are almost exactly the same, the MagicPR press release resulted in a significantly higher number of news articles indexed in Google at a higher price for the press release, but a lower price per indexed news article.
